The SVANOVIR BLV gp51-AB is an indirect ELISA for the detection of specific antibodies to Bovine Leukemia Virus gp51 in bovine serum, plasma and milk samples (individual and bulk tank milk). The assay is based on the gp51 envelope protein, enabling the detection of antibodies to BLV during early phase of infection.

Features and benefits:

  • Field-proven assay – used for the control of BLV in Scandinavia, Netherlands, Croatia, Canada and Australia
  • High analytical sensitivity, repeatedly proven in bulk tank milk and dilution studies
  • Standardized against the reference serum E05 (according to Directive 64/432/EEC)
  • Semi quantitative test – paired samples used to detect cows pregnant with PI-calves
  • Accurate results in proficiency tests organized by the OIE Reference Laboratory for Enzootic Bovine Leukosis in Poland, in 2011 and 2014
  • Prescribed test method for international trade by the OIE
