virotype PRRSV PRO + HP RT-PCR Kit

The virotype PRRSV PRO + HP RT-PCR Kit from INDICAL BIOSCIENCE enables simultaneous detection and differentiation of PRRSV-1 (EU), PRRSV-2 (NA), and highly pathogenic (HP) strains of the NA genotype of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV) in swine samples - all in a single run.

When used with the virotype PRRSV EU Vax RT-PCR Kit, the assay enables DIVA strategies, supporting informed decision-making for PRRSV control and vaccine monitoring in regions where PRRSV-1 vaccines are used.

Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV)

PRRSV infections in swine are very prevalent and continue to cause one of the most economically devastating diseases in swine worldwide leading to respiratory disease in piglets and reproductive failure in pregnant sows. 

HP-PRRSV, first identified in Asia around 2006, is known for severe clinical signs and high mortality. HP-PRRSV strains are widely distributed throughout China and parts of Southeast Asia, including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
