OvaCyte EQ Ano Test Kit

Dedicated tapeworm test for use with the OvaCyte EQ & LA Faecal Analyser, for the detection of Anoplocephala spp. in equine faecal samples. It also detects Oxyuris equi.

Anoplocephala spp. eggs are shed in small numbers and not every day, so standard faecal egg counts often miss them. Instead of looking at a fraction of a gram, OvaCyte EQ Ano analyses around 80 g of faeces, so low-level infections are much easier to catch.

• 96.4% detection sensitivity and +57% egg recovery, compared with the Proudman & Edwards reference method in a 111-sample study.
• Simple to run: no centrifuge and no slide reading. Mix the sample with water, filter it, fill the cassette and let the analyser do the rest.
• About 2 minutes hands-on time: result in about 20 minutes, with a picture of every egg found.

The OvaCyte EQ Ano Test Kit includes 40 tests, with cassettes, flotation fluid and muslin cloths.
